Richard G. Weingardt, P.E., is a practicing structural engineer with nearly 50 years of experience. He is a sought-after motivational speaker and an accompanlished author of books and articles, including Circles in the Sky: The Life and Times of George Ferris (ASCE Press, 2009) and regular columns in Structural Engineer and ASCE's Journal of Leadership and Management in Engineering.
