Only Chemically Pure Salts used in the preparation. The alkaloids in Syrupus Roborans are very soluble, and will not precipitate unless an incompatible agent is added.

To distinguish it from our other preparations of the Hypophosphites, we have given it the name of Syrupus Roborans," and in prescribing pleas use this name to avoid confusion. The sa isfactory results derived from Compounds of the Hypophosphites, under proprietary names, should encourage the prudent practitioner in the use of a preparation which specifies the exact quantities of the ingredients, especially such powerful agents as Strychnine, Quinine, etc.

As a nerve stimulant and restorative in wasting and debilitating diseases, as well as an aid to the functions of digestion and assimilation, as a general tonic, a constructive agent in Insomnia, Pneumonia, Night Sweats, Rickets, Chronic Diarrhœa, Tuberculosis, Bronchial Asthma, Bronchitis, Children's Diseases, Marasmus, Neuralgia, Dementia, Strumous Diseases, Phthisis Pulmonalis, General Debility, Anæmia, and especially in Convalescence, this compound has no superior.

The success which has attended the use of the Hypophosphites has been ascribed to the results of the patient investigations of Dr. J. F. Churchill, of Paris, and many formulas purporting to be that originally used by him have been prepared and presented to the profession.

It is certain that Dr. Churchill preferred the combination of Soda and Lime in Pulmonary complaints, but added potash and Iron in special cases. Many years have passed since his formulas were published, and it has been found that the experience of the profession demanded the attention of other reconstructive agents.

Dr. J. I. Fellows, of St. John, N. B., claims to have been the pioneer in adding the Hypophosphites of Manganese, Quinine, and Strychnine in tonic and stimulating quantities. This excellent combination has met with the most flattering success, and the proprietors of

SYRUPUS ROBORANS

Now offer to the profession a preparation which they are confident, from the indorsement it has already received, will answer all the obje tions of irregularity of quantities, e c, which have been urged against other preparations, while the important items of cost, elegance of appearance, and palatability have been made matters of secondary importance only to purity of ingredients and care in manufacture.

SYRUPUS ROBORANS has always been kept strictly in the hands of the medical profession, never having been advertised in any publication but medical journals. It is prescribed by the leading physicians wherever introduced. We have many testimonials to its value, and refer to our prominent city physicians.

The favor with which SYRUPUS ROBORANS has been met is wide-spread.

The Louisville Medical News says:

"SYRUPUS ROBORANS-The value of the Hypophosphites as therapeutic agents is now so generally recognized as to need no more than a passing suggestion when a new preparation containing or representing them is announced. Rapid advances in manipulative pharmacy have made practicable the exhibition of these compounds in a form which, until recently, had scarcely been attempted. Instead of the nauseous, changeable, and consequently variable mixtures hitherto presented, we are now furnished with an elegant, stable, definite, and palatable preparation bearing the above title. The name of its well-known makers, Messrs. Arthur Peter & Co., of this city, is a sufficient guarantee that at all times the preparation will be of the same high degree of excellence as now."
