BROOKLYN FIRE LIMITS.

The fire limits of Brooklyn, within which all buildings to be hereafter erected must be of brick, stone or material other than wood, comprise portions of the city as follows:

All of the First, Second, Third, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Seventh Wards.

In the Eighth Ward as follows: The portions bounded by Third av., Prospect av., Eighteenth st., and City line, and 100 feet on each side of Third av., from Eighteenth st. to Sixtieth st. All of the Ninth Ward.

All of the Tenth Ward except the portion within the limits bounded by Warren st., Third av., the Gowanus canal, Second av., Fifth st., Smith st., Third st., and 100 feet west of Bond st., from Third st. to Warren st.

All of the Eleventh Ward.

Only that portion of the Twelfth Ward within the limits bounded by Hamilton av., Coles st., Fourth pl., Smith st.. 100 feet west of Hamilton av., from Smith to Columbia st., 100 feet east of Columbia st., from Hamilton av. to Delevan st., 100 feet south of Delevan st., from Columbia sc. to Richards st., 100 feet east of Richards st., from Columbia st. tó King st., 100 feet south of King st. and the Buttermilk channel.

All of the Thirteenth Ward.

Only that portion of the Fourteenth Ward included south of North Fourth st. and North Second st.

Only that portion of the Fifteenth Ward with

in the limits bounded by North Second st., Union av., South Second st. and Rodney st.

Only that portion of the Sixteenth Ward lying within the limits bounded by Rodney st., the old boundary line between Brooklyn and Williamsburgh (100 feet north of Division av.), Broadway, Union av. and South Second st.

All of the Nineteenth, Twentieth and Twentyfirst Wards.

All of the Twenty-second Ward except the portion lying within the limits bounded by Third av., Thirteenth st., Prospect av., Hamilton av. and the western boundaries of the ward.

All of the Twenty-third Ward.

All that portion of the Twenty-fourth Ward lying west of Albany av.

All that portion of the Twenty-fifth Ward within the limits bounded by Halsey st., Patchen av., Chauncey st., Fulton st., Sumner av., Lafayetté av. and Broadway.

The Seventeenth, Eighteenth and Twenty-sixth Wards are not within the fire limits.

All information in regard to the fire limits and their restrictions can be obtained from the Building Department in the City Hall. No building can be erected in the city, or its erection commenced or any alteration made in any building already erected unless proper plans and specifications have been filed in the Department of Buildings and certificates of approval granted therefor by the Commissioner of Buildings.
