Aug. 20 Extradition of Salvatore Paladini: The question

of the obligation of Italy under treaty stipula-

tions to extradite Italian subjects will demand

immediate consideration if the decision of the

court of Messina should bring it up; provision

made for the expenses of Casale.

Extradition of Salvatore Paladini: The procura-

tor-general of the court of appeals at Messina

has moved the discharge of Paladini on the

ground that he is an Italian citizen; a copy of

the United States treaties and convention re-

quested.
