DISPOSITION OF GRANTS.

An Account showing how the MONIES given for the SERVICE of the UNITED KINGDOM of GREAT BRITAIN and IRELAND for the Year 1848 have been disposed of; distinguished under the several Heads; to the 5th January, 1849.

To defray the Expenses beyond the ordi-
nary Grants for the years 1846-7 and
1847-8 for Army and Ordnance Services
occasioned by the Kaffir War.
To make good the Deficiency in the Sums
provided for the Relief of Distress in Ire-
land and Scotland through the Commis-
sariat Department, to the 30th day of
June, 1848; also to make Provision for
Grants for distressed Unions, and for ra-
tioning School Children, from the 1st day
of July, 1848, until the ensuing Harvest
To defray the Expense incurred in the Bri-
tish North American Provinces on ac-
count of Sick and Destitute Emigrants
from Ireland in the year 1847
To defray the Charge for Civil Contingen-
cies to the 31st day of March, 1849
