THE EMPIRE ELASTIC BANDAGE

SPECIALLY ADAPTED FOR VARICOSE VEINS. We invite the attention of the Medical and Surgical Profession to the various merits combined in our Bandages: 1st. ITS POROSITY-the greatest in the "Empire." I never causes itching, rash, or ulceration under the bandage.

2d. ITS ELASTICITY, which will enable the surgeon or nurse to put it on at any required tension, and which will follow a swelling up and down, as the case may be, a feature unknown to any other bandage.

3d. ITS ABSORBENT PROPERTIES-greatest in the "Empire."

4th. ITS EASY APPLICATION to any part of the body, not being necessary to fold over as with other bandages, as it follows itself with equal uniformity around any part of the abdomen.

5th. ITS SELF-HOLDING QUALITIES. No bother with pins, needles or thread, or string, so tiresome to surgeons, as simply tucking the end under the last fold insures its permanent stay until its removal for purposes of cleanliness.

6th. The only Bandage that is SUPERIOR TO THE ELASTIC STOCKING for varicose veins. Send $1 for 3 in. by 5 yds.

Bandage on approval.

34. In pregnancy, corpulency, tumors, or other cases of abdomen, it supports weight of body from the backbone, relieving the sinews of their overwork.

4th. Its easy appliance (lace and drawn on over head or feet).

5th. It is cheap; durable. It can be washed when soiled, proper care being taken to cleanse it in lukewarm water and dry in the shade.

PARTURITION.-ALETRIS CORDIAL (Rio), given in teaspoonful doses every hour or two AFTER PARTURITION, is the best agent to prevent after-pains and hemorrhage. By its DIRECT tonic action on the uterus, it expels blood clots, closes the uterine sinuses, causes the womb to contract, and prevents subinvolution. In severe cases it can be combined with ergot in the proportion of one ounce of fluid Ext. Ergot to three ounces ALETRIS CORDIAL. (Rio). It is the experience of eminent practitioners, in all cases where ergot is indicated, that its action is rendered much more efficacious by combining it with ALETRIS CORDIAL (Rio) in the proportions above stated.

A sample bottle will be sent free to any physician who desires

to test it, if he will pay the express charges.

SANDER & SONS' EUCALIPTI EXTRACT. (EUCALYPTOL).

In the article treating on inhalations cf eucalyptus in cases of diphtheritis (Berlin Klin. Wochenschrit, 1879, No. 21), by Prof. Dr. Mosler, Director or the Medical Clint of the University at Oriefswald, it is stated: "The oleum cucalypti e folies, I employed in my tests, I received through Holze & Chelius, Frankfort-on-the-Main; it must not be mistaken for the more fre quently offered oleum eucalyptic australe, which is obtained from the wood of the eucalyptus tree. This latter oil is used commonly for mechanical purposes, and has a far cheaper price: is, however, no longer cmployed by me as internal medicament." We certify that the oleum eucalypti e folies named in the Ber lin Klin, Wochenschrift, 1879, No. 21, and there mentione i to have been procured by us, was the product of Messrs. Sander & Sons, Sandhurst, Australia. HOLTZE & CHELIUS, Frankfort-on-the-Main, Agents.

CONFECTION.

A remarkable builder, strengthener, fattener; delightful, harmless, elegant. Nothing known to science compares with it. In a few days it puts great vital force, strength into very low, weak, wasted,given-up patients. Invalids usually gain 3 to 5 lbs. a week, and often get out of bed in 3 to 7 days. It has cured many bed-fast consumptives in 2 to 3 months when highest science had failed. Cures many cancers, abscesses, frightful ulcers, with incredible speed. It cures by causing invalids to eat and digest often enormously and to breathe deep and fast, thus oxidizing the blood largely, feeds and oxidizes beyond conception. It loosens and cures worst cough quick while it doubles digestion and strength. In consumption, dyspepsia. women and children and low diseases it is the giant cure of modern times. Imparts courage, confidence, exhilarates body and mind, animates face, gives strong voice, clear skin, working power, strong physiological action, prodigious strength to the heart, slows the pulse, cures wonderfully quick, without precedent in medicine, heart, liver, stomach, nerves and women cases, prostration; gives such vigor to weak female organs, heart, nerves in feeble women that in a few days severe cases are almost well. Most women and children are made fat, strong and well in 2 to 6 weeks. Men and women perform nearly double the work. It works wonders daily; patients delighted. For 12 years I conducted a sanitarium with it. treating thousands with astonishing cures unequaled by science. Price, $1.50 per box by mail, lasting 2 or 3 weeks; $3.25 per half doz.: $6 doz. by express Above sworn to by proprietor, S. G. ARMSTRONG, M. D., Berrien Springs, Mich. No samples.
