Gentlemen-We are in receipt of

your favor of the 5th inst., referring to the publication of our testimonial on page 552 of the November 1st issue of THE FORTNIGHTLY, which is duly appreciated and for which we thank you.

We have noted the change in your address, and have also noticed in other St. Louis medical papers allusions to the utter insignificance of THE FORTNIGHTLY, as well as your painful lack of bona-fide circulation. It has occurred to us that perhaps you would cease the publication of your interesting magazine, and that Dr. Norbury would confine himself in his lunatic asylum!

Further contemplation of the St. Louis medical wrangle, however, leads us to think that the year 1898 will see THE FORTNIGHTLY still flourishing, as we believe it has in the past.

Assuring you of our best wishes for your continued success, we remain,

Yours very truly,

The Imperial Granum Co.

JNO. E. HEATON, TREAsurer.

"IT COVERS THE MISSISSIPPI VALLEY."

J. B. CARRELL, M. D.

Dear Doctor Norbury:

Hatboro, Pa., November 11-1897.

THE FORTNIGHTLY is my favorite. It

possesses the happy faculty of presenting to its readers just what they need. It is working

for the good of the profession; for clean practice; and for the elimination of fraud and

of all kinds of quackery, inside and outside of the medical fold. I like the journal for its honesty, for its fearlessness, and for its

worth.

That you may continue to succeed in your good work, I add my mite herewith, another year's subscription, as a tangible evidence of

my appreciation.

Very sincerely yours,
