FOURTH SERIES.

[blocks in formation]

THE EDITORS have again to acknowledge with grateful thanks the
kind assistance of their many correspondents who have favoured

them with valuable contributions.

Among these the Aylmer Pedigree, contributed by Colonel Aylmer, and the Torkington Pedigree by Mr. Everard Green, F.S.A., Somerset Herald, are both received with thanks. The lengthened contributions by Mr. George Grazebrook, F.S.A., with a Grazebrook bookplate, and shewing the family's descent from 1065, with the pedigree from William de Busli I., are noticeable, likewise the Herries Pedigrees by Mr. D. C. Herries, and that of the Lewen family by Mr. H. R. Leighton. The Huguenot Pedigrees contributed by Mr. H. Wagner, F.S.A., are much esteemed by Huguenot families, both in France and England. The Smythies family is fully exemplified by Major Smythies, and the Rushworth Pedigree, with arms from a family Bible, and annotations by the Rev. Cecil E. Smith, is brought up to date; likewise the Pedigree of Buckeridge from 1524, contributed by Mr. A. Stephens Dyer, and that of the Fuller Pedigree from 1598. The Bor Pedigree by Colonel E. J. Bor of Holland, and communicated by Mr. J. F. Fuller, is also worthy of attention by our readers. The Registers of Papworth Everard from 1565-1691 were for the first time published.
