wouldest not, but a body haft thou prepared for me: in burnt offerings, and facrifices for fin thou haft had no pleafure; then faid I, Lo, I come (in the volume of thy book it is written of me) to do thy will, O God. Eph v. 2. Chrift hath loved us, and hath given himself for us, an offering and a facrifice to God for a fweet finelling favour.

Pfalm citi.3. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy difeafes. And xxv 11. For thy name's fake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity, for it is very great. Luke xi. 4. And forgive us our fins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. Dan ix 19. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not for thine own fake, O my God; for thy city, and thy people are called by thy name.

Pfalm cxix. 120. My flesh trembleth for fear of thee, and I am afraid of thy judgments. Rom. vii. 9. I was alive with out the law once: but when the commandment came, fin re• vived, and I died. v. 13. Was then that which is good, made death unto me? God forbid. But fin, that it might appear fin, working death in me by that which is good; that fin by the commandment might become exceeding finful..

9 Gal. iii. ro. As many as are of the works of the law are under the curfe: for it is written, Curfed is every one that continueth_not_in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. v. 13, 14. Chrift hath redeemed us from the curfe of the law, being made a curfe for us for it is written, Curfed is every one that hangeth on a tree: that the bleffing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Je fus Chrift; that we might receive the promife of the Spirit through faith.

Rom. iii. 20, Therefore by the deeds of the law, there fhall no flesh be juftified in his fight: for by the law is the knowledge of fin. Gal. ii. 16. Knowing that a man is not juftified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jefus Chrift, even we have believed in Jefus Chrift: that we might be justified by the faith of Chrift, and not by the works of the law for by the works of the law fhall no flesh be juftified. Chap. iii. 1t. But that no man is justified by the law in the fight of God, it is evident: for, the just shall live by faith.

Rom. vin. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Chrift Jefus. v. 3, 4. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, fending his own Son, in the likeness of finful flesh, and for fin condemned fin in the flesh; that the righteoufnefs of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 Cor. v. 21.. For he hath made him to be fin for us, who knew no fin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. Rom. iii. 26. To delare, I fay, at this time his righteoufaefs; that he might be juft, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jefus.

4. Rom. vi. 14. Sin fhall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Gal. v. - 4. Stand faft therefore in the liberty wherewith Chrift has made

us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Behold, I Paul fay unto you, that if ye be circumcifed, Chrift
fhall profit you nothing. For, I teftify again to every man
that is circumcifed, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
Chrift is become of no effect unto you, whofoever of
you are
juftified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
Rom. vi. 1, 2, What fhall we fay then? fhall we continue
in fin, that grace may abound? God forbid: how Thall we
that are dead to fin, live any longer therein ?
15. What
then? fhall we fin, because we are not under the law, but un-
der grace? God forbid.

u Rom. v. 17, 18, 19. They which receive abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteoufnefs, fhall reign in life by one, Jefus Chrift. By the righteoufnefs of one, the free gift came upon all men unto juftification of life.-By the obedience of one fhall many be made righteous.

v Rom. x. 5-9 which is of the law, fhall live by them.

For Mofes defcribeth the righteousness That the man which doth thofe things, Bat the righteousness which is of faith, fpeaketh on this wife, Say not in thine heart, Who fhall afcend into heaven? that is, to bring Chrift down from above); or, who fhali defcend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Chrift again from the dead); but what faith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is the word of faith which we preach, that if thou fhalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jeíus, and fhalt believe in thine heart, that God hath raifed him from the dead, thou shalt be faved.

6 Rom..iii. 20, 21, 22. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be juftified in his fight; for by the law is the knowledge of fin. But now the righteoufnefs of God without the law is manifested, being witneffed by the law and the prophets; even the righteoufnefs of God which is by faithof Jefus Chrift unto all, and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference.
