bour hath been loft upon you! Your fins witness against you, for though you say you believe, yet John denies the truth of all fuch profeffions, whilft the profeffor lives in fin-If we fay that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, (the darkness of fin) we lie and do not the truth, 1 John i. 6. and again, He that faith I know him, (viz. CHRIST) and keepeth not bis commandments, is a LIAR and the truth is not in him, 1 John ii. 4.

How many, alas! how many liars are there, who will be believers, or would be thought to be fuch, though they are in darkness and unbelief, giving proof of it by their ungodly deeds. Let all fuch hear-hear and remember the words of our LORD, He that believeth on him is not condemned, but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God, John iii. 18. He that believeth and is baptized fhall be faved; but he that believeth not shall be damned, Mark xvi. 16. Thefe words awfully true, fully affert the impoffibility of unbelievers (who die fuch) coming where CHRIST is, in the glory of heaven.-May God turn you for his great name's fake. Amen.
