Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father for my Father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it come to pass, Hereafter I will not talk much with you for ment, even so I do. SECTION XXXVI. Christ goes with his Disciples to the Mount of Olives. MATT. xxvi. 30. Christ declares Himself to be the True Vine. JOHN XV. 1-9. I am the true vine, and my Father is the hus- John xv. 1. bandman. "Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he John xv. 2. taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. x Now ye are clean through the word which I John xv. 3. have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch can- John xv. 4. not bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine ; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that John xv. 5. abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth * Or, severed forth much fruit: for without me ye can do no from me, Acts thing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a John xv. 6. branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. Christ exhorts his Apostles to mutual Love, and to prepare for JOHN XV. 9, to the end; xvi. 1-5. As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved John xv. 9. you continue ye in my love. A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing.
