Non-Competitive Class

The Non-Competitive Class shall include such positions as are not in the Exempt Class, and which it is impracticable to include in the Competitive Class. It shall comprise the following positions and such positions as may hereafter be added, provided that from time to time the Municipal Civil Service Commission shall transfer positions from this class to the Competitive Class, whenever it may be found practicable to hold competitive examinations to fill them.

The foregoing rules and regulations have been approved and adopted by the Municipal Civil Service Commission of the city of Ogdensburg, N. and regulations for the Civil Service of the city of Ogdensburg, N. Y., are hereby in all things duly approved.

AMENDMENTS TO CITY CIVIL SERVICE RULES

APPROVED

Albany

The following resolution was adopted by the Municipal Civil Service Commission, April 8, 1913, and approved by the Mayor, April 11, 1913:

Resolved, That, subject to the approval of the Mayor and the State Civil Service Commission, the classification of positions in the Civil Service of the city of Albany be amended by substituting under the heading of Department of Public Works in the exempt class in the place of "One Second Deputy Commissioner acting as General Superintendent of Streets" the words "Two Deputy Commissioners acting as General Superintendents of Streets." (Approved April 15, 1913.)

Auburn

The following resolution was adopted by the Municipal Civil Service Commission May 24, 1913, and approved by the Mayor May 28, 1913:

Resolved, That, subject to the approval of the Mayor and the State Civil Service Commission, the position of Bacteriologist and Chemist in the Water Department, salary $720 per year, be classified in the Competitive Class.

Buffalo

The following resolution was adopted by the Municipal Civil Service Commission March 7, 1913, and approved by the Mayor: Resolved, That the position of Secretary to the Board of Managers, Buffalo City Hospital, be placed in the Exempt Class (Schedule "A").

(Approved April 15, 1913.)

The following resolution was adopted by the Municipal Civil Service Commission May 2, 1913, and approved by the Mayor May 3, 1913:

Resolved, That the positions of Attorney, Engineer, Secretary and Stenographer, Terminal Station Commission, and the position of Stenographer, Grade Crossing Commission, be placed in the Exempt Class (Schedule "A").

The following resolution was adopted by the Municipal Civil Service Commission July 15, 1913, and approved by the Mayor: Resolved, That the Commission may by special resolution suspend the provisions of the rule relating to residence, citizenship and references for appointment to positions in the hospital service. (Approved August 7, 1913.)

The following resolution was adopted by the Municipal Civil Service Commission November 11, 1913, and approved by the Mayor December 11, 1913:
