79.

1. COME, sound his praise abroad,
And hymns of glory sing:
Jehovah is the sovereign God,
The universal King.

2. Come, worship at his throne;

Come, bow before the Lord;
We are his work, and not our own;
He formed us by his word.

3. To-day attend his voice,

Nor dare provoke his rod;
Come, like the people of his choice,
And own your gracious God.

767.

1. COME, we that love the Lord,
And let our joys be known;
Join in a song with sweet accord,
And thus surround the throne.

2. The sorrows of the mind

Be banished from the place;
Religion never was designed
To make our pleasures less.

3. Let those refuse to sing

Who never knew our God;
But children of the heavenly King
May speak their joys abroad.

4. The hill of Zion yields

A thousand sacred sweets,
Before we reach the heavenly fields,
Or walk the golden streets.

5. Then let our songs abound,
And every tear be dry;

We're marching thro' Immanuel's ground
To fairer worlds on high.

520.

1. GRACE! 'tis a charming sound-
Harmonious to the ear;

Heaven with the echo shall resound,
And all the earth shall hear.

2. Grace first contrived the way

To save rebellious man;

And all the steps that grace display
Which drew the wondrous plan.

3. Grace led my roving feet

To tread the heavenly road;
And new supplies, each hour, I meet,
While pressing on to God.

4. Grace all the work shall crown,
Through everlasting days;
It lays in heaven the topmost stone,
And well deserves the praise.

191.

1. BEHOLD, what wondrous grace
The Father has bestowed
On sinners of a mortal race,

To call them sons of God!

2. Nor doth it yet appear

How great we must be made; But when we see our Saviour here, We shall be like our Head.

3. A hope so much divine

May trials well endure;
May purify our souls from sin,
As Christ, the Lord, is pure.

4. If in my Father's love

I share a filial part,

Send down thy Spirit, like a dove,
To rest upon my heart.

5. We would no longer lie

Like slaves beneath the throne; Our faith shall Abba, Father, cry, And thou the kindred, own.

925.

1. THY name, almighty Lord,

Shall sound through distant lands: Great is thy grace, and sure thy word; Thy truth forever stands.

2. Far be thine honor spread,

And long thy praise endure,-
Till morning light and evening shade
Shall be exchanged no more.

717.

1. MY soul, be on thy guard;

Ten thousand foes arise;

The hosts of sin are pressing hard
To draw thee from the skies.

2. O, watch, and fight, and pray;
The battle ne'er give o'er;
Renew it boldly every day,
And help divine implore.

8. Ne'er think the victory won,

Nor lay thine armor down:
Thy arduous work will not be done
Till thou obtain thy crown.

4. Fight on, my soul, till death

Shall bring thee to thy God;

He'll take thee, at thy parting breath,
To his divine abode.

471.

1. DID Christ o'er sinners weep, And shall our cheeks be dry? Let floods of penitential grief Burst forth from every eye.

2. The Son of God in tears

The wondering angels see; Be thou astonished, O my soul; He shed those tears for thee.

3. He wept that we might weep;

Each sin demands a tear:
In heaven alone no sin is found,
And there's no weeping there.

495.

1. O, BLESSED souls are they

Whose sins are covered o'er; Divinely blest, to whom the Lord Imputes their guilt no more.

2. They mourn their follies past,

And keep their hearts with care; Their lips and lives, without deceit, Shall their faith sincere. prove

3. While I concealed my guilt,

I felt the festering wound,
Till I confessed my sins to thee,
And ready pardon found.

4. Let sinners learn to pray;

Let saints keep near the throne; Our help in times of deep distress Is found in God alone.

431.

1. THE Spirit, in our hearts,

Is whispering, "Sinner, come;"
The bride, the church of Christ, proclaims
To all his children, "Come!”

2. Let him that heareth say

To all about him, "Come;"

Let him that thirsts for righteousness
To Christ, the fountain, come.

3. Yes, whosoever will,

O, let him freely come,

And freely drink the stream of life;
"Tis Jesus bids him come.

4. Lo! Jesus, who invites,

Declares, "I quickly come:"
Lord, even so; we wait thy hour;
O blest Redeemer, come.

730.

1. OUR Captain leads us on;
He beckons from the skies;
He reaches out a starry crown,
And bids us take the prize.

2. "Be faithful unto death,
Partake my victory,

And thou shalt wear this glorious wreath, And thou shalt reign with me." 3. 'Tis thus the righteous Lord To every soldier saith, Eternal life is the reward Of all victorious faith.

4. Who conquer in his might

The victor's meed receive;
They claim a kingdom in his right,
Which God will freely give.
