CHAPTER 1150.

AN ACT IN AMENDMENT OF AND IN ADDITION TO CHAPTER Passed Oct. 7, 1892. 454 OF THE PUBLIC LAWS, PASSED AT THE JANUARY SESSION, A. D. 1875, ENTITLED AN ACT TO REVISE, CONSOLIDATE AND AMEND AN ACT ENTITLED, AN ACT INCORPORATING THE CITY OF NEWPORT,' AND THE SEVERAL ACTS IN AMENDMENT THEREOF AND IN ADDITION THERETO."

It is enacted by the General Assembly as follows:

SECTION 1. The qualified electors of the city of Newport shall on the fourth Wednesday in October, in the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, give in their votes in their respective wards for a mayor and city treasurer, to serve one year from the first Monday of the next January, and until others are elected and qualified to fill their places, and for four members of the public school committee, to serve for the term as by law provided. And on the said fourth Members of Wednesday in October in the year one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, the electors of each ward qualified to vote on any proposition to impose a tax or for the expenditure of money, shall give in their votes in their respective wards for one alderman and three

city council.
