UR souls by love together knit,
Cemented, mix'd in one,`

One hope, one heart, one mind, one voice,
'Tis heav'n on earth begun.

2 Our hearts have often burn'd within,
And glow'd with sacred fire,
While Jesus spoke, and fed, and blest,
And fill'd th' enlarg'd desire.

3 And when thou mak'st thy jewels up,
And set'st thy starry crown;
When all thy sparkling gems shall shine,
Proclaim'd by thee thine own;'

4 May we, a little band of love,
We sinners, sav'd by grace,
From glory unto glory chang'd,
Behold thee face to face.

11s.

O turn ye.

TURN ye, poor sinners, for why will ye die,

When God in great mercy, is coming so nigh? Now Jesus invites, and the Spirit says, come, And angels are waiting to welcome you home. 2 How vain the delusion that while you delay, Your hearts may grow better by staying away! Come wretched, come starving, come just as you be,

While streams of salvation are flowing so free.

3 And now Christ is ready your souls to receive, O, how can you question, if you will believe? If sin is your burden, why will you not come? 'Tis you he bids welcome; he bids you come home.

4 In riches, in pleasure, what can you obtain To soothe your affliction, or banish your pain? To bear up your spirit when summon'd to die Or waft you to mansions of glory on high? 5 Why will you be starving or feeding on air? There's mercy in Jesus, enough, and to spare; If still you are doubting, make trial, and see, And prove that his mercy is boundless and free. 6 Come, give us your hand, and the Savior your heart,

And trusting in Heaven we never shall part; O how can we leave you? Why will you not come?

We'll journey together, and soon be at home.

ESUS, I my cross have taken,

All to leave, and follow thee;

Naked, poor, despised, forsaken,
Thou from hence my all shall be.
Perish every fond ambition,

All I've sought, or hoped, or known ;
Yet how rich is my condition!

God and heaven are all my own.

2 Let the world despise and leave meThey have left my Savior too;

Human hearts and looks deceive me,-
Thou art not, like them, untrue.
And whilst thou shalt smile upon me,
God of wisdom, love, and might,
Foes may hate and friends disown me-
Show thy face, and all is bright.

3 Go then, earthly fame and treasure;
Come disaster, scorn and pain;
In thy service, pain is pleasure,
With thy favor, loss is gain.
I have called thee, Abba Father,
I have set my heart on thee;
Storms may howl, and clouds may gather,
All must work for good to me.

4 Man may trouble and distress me,

"Twill but drive me to thy breast;
Life with trials, hard may press me,
Heaven will bring me sweeter rest.
Oh! 'tis not in grief to harm me,
While thy love is left to me;
Oh! 'twere not in joy to charm me,
Were that joy unmixed with thee.

5 Haste thee on, from grace to glory,
Armed by faith and winged by prayer ;
Heaven's eternal day's before thee,
God's own hand shall guide thee there.
Soon shall close thy earthly mission,
Soon shall pass thy pilgrim days;
Hope shall change to glad fruition,
Faith to sight, and prayer to praise.

My fly rapid as the whirling spheres
Y days, my weeks, my months, my years,

Around the steady pole;

Time, like the tide, its motion keeps,
And I must launch through boundless deeps,
Where endless ages roll.

2 The grave is near the cradle seen,
How swift the moments pass between,
And whisper as they fly;
"Unthinking man, remember this,
Though fond of sublunary bliss,

That you must groan and die."
3 How great the bliss, how great the wo,
Hangs on this inch of time below,
On this precarious breath;
The Lord of nature only knows,
Whether another year shall close,
Ere I expire in death.

4 But will my soul be then extinct,
And cease to live, and cease to think?
It cannot, cannot be ;
No, my immortal cannot die,
What wilt thou do, or whither fly,
When death shall set thee free?

5 Will mercy then her arms extend,
Will Jesus be thy guardian friend?
And heaven thy dwelling place?
Or shall insulted fiends appear
To drag thee down to dark despair,
Below the reach of grace?

6 A heaven or hell, and these alone,
Beyond the present life are known,
There is no middle state;
To-day attend the call divine,
To-morrow may be none of thine,
Or it may be too late.

70 do not pass this as a dream,
Vast is the change, what'er it scein,
To poor unthinking man:
Lord, at thy footstool I would bow;
Bid conscience plainly tell me now,
What it would tell me then.

3 If in destruction's road I stray,
Help me to choose the better way,
That leads to joys on high;

Thy grace impart, my guilt forgive,
Nor let me ever dare to live,
Such as I dare not die.

WOW tedious and tasteless the hours,
When Jesus no longer I see;

Sweet prospects, sweet buds and sweet flow

ers,

Have lost all their sweetness to me.
The midsummer sun shines but dim;
The fields strive in vain to look gay;
But when I am happy in him,
December's as pleasant as May.

His name yields the richest perfume,
And sweeter than music his voice,
