. colony reddish, deep one yellowish.

VII. Gelatin plate, two days at 22o. X 60. Superficial colony just beginning to sink in. VIII. Gelatin plate, two days at 22o. Natural size.

IX. Potato culture, eight days at 22o. Typical with metallic luster on the surface.

X. Potato culture, eight days at 22o. Atypical white growth.

XI: Microscopic preparation. Pure culture from agar. X 800. Stained with fuchsin.
