THE practice of Catechizing has been adopted by the Christian Church in all ages, and it is highly desirable that this important mode of communicating instruction to children and young persons, should be more generally and perseveringly used, when so many, who are not well-grounded in the true principles of religion, are led away from the simplicity of the Gospel, into the increased and increasing novelties, errors, and divisions, which are the affliction, as well as the scandal, of the Church of Christ in the present age.
