De Ruyter reservoir, lying in Onondaga county, N. Y., from the first day of November, until the suceeding fifteenth day of May in each and every year.

Sec. 2. It shall be lawful to catch or kill suckers in their running season by any device, in that part of the waters of De Ruyter reservoir lying in Onondaga county, N. Y., subject to the restrictions contained in chapter 488, Laws of 1892.

Sec. 3. Any person or persons violating any of the provisions of this act, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and in addition thereto shall be liable to a penalty of ten dollars, or imprisonment in the county jail, not to exceed ten days, for each and every offense, to be recovered and disposition to be made thereof as prescribed by chapter 488 of the Laws of 1892.

Sec. 4. This act shall take effect May 1st, 1893.

Passed by a vote of, ayes, 28; noes, none; a majority of the members elected voting in the affirmative.

We, Stephen Thornton, chairman of the board of supervisors of Onondaga county, and Charles E. BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, ONTARIO COUNTY.

LOCAL LAWS-No. 1.

AN ACT to afford additional protection to, and further restric
tions for the protection of birds, fish, and wild animals, and to
prohibit the taking and killing, and possession of the same,
passed in pursuance of section 273 of chapter 488 of the Laws
of 1892, known as the Game Law, passed at an annual session
of the board of supervisors of the county of Ontario, on the 6th
day of February 1894; a majority of the members of said board
voting in the affirmative, there being fourteen votes for and no
votes against.

The People of the County of Ontario, represented in and by the
board of supervisors, do enact as follows:

Section 1. Brook trout and speckled trout shall not, in any manner whatever, be fished for, caught, or killed, in, out of, or from any of the waters of Ontario county, nor shall any such trout so fished for, caught, taken or killed be in the possession of any person, save only between the 1st day of May and the 1st day of September following in each year, and then save by hook and line beld in the hand.

Section 2. Any person violating the provisions of this act, shall be
subject to the penalties prescribed by the said State Game Law
for taking of trout in close season.

Section 3. This act shall take effect at the time by said State
Game Law prescribed.

An ordinance for the repeal of of* section 7 of an ordinance passed by the board of supervisors of Columbia county, at their annual session held at their rooms in the city of Hudson in and for said county the 27th day of December 1892, pursuiant* to the powers rested* in them by section 243 of article 12 of the general law of 1892 of the State of New York, do ordain and enact as follows:

Resolved: That section 7 of the County game law, is hereby amended to read as follows:

That black or grey squirrels and rabbits shall not be hunted, shot at, or killed, between the 1st day of January and the 1st day of September in each year.

Resolved: That section 8 of the ordinance.passed by the board of supervisors December 27th 1892 be and the same is hereby rescinded.

An ordinance for the repeal of a part of section 2 of an ordinance passed by the board of supervisors of Columbia county, at their annual session, held at their rooms in the city of Hudson, in and for said county the 27th day of December 1892, pursuant to the powers rested* in them by section 243 of article 12 of chapter 31 of the gener* law of 1892 of the State of New York, do ordain and enact as follows:

Resolved: That black bass or Oswego bass shall not be fished for, caught, killed, or possessed, within the limits of Columbia county between the 1st day of January and the 30th day of May following, in each year.

Resolved That this act shall take effect immediately.

AN ACT for the protection and preservation of trout in Trout river and Little Trout river and the tributaries to each of them within the towns of Constable, Malone and Burke, in pursuance of section 12 of chapter 686 of the Laws of 1892.

Passed November 29, 1893, two-thirds of the members of said board voting in favor thereof.

The board of supervisors of Franklin county do enact as follows: Section 1. Trout of any kind shall not be fished for, caught, killed or possessed in Trout river, Little Trout river or the tributaries to either of them, within the limits of the towns of Constable, Malone and Burke, or either of said towns, between the fifteenth day of April and the first day of September following, during the period of three years next after the passage of this act, or during any open season in any of said years as the same may hereafter be prescribed by the laws of the State.

Section 2. An attempt to violate the provisions of this act shall be deemed a violation thereof. Violation of any of the provisions of this act is a misdemeanor, and, in addition, the violator thereof is liable to a penalty of $25 for each violation and $10 for each fish so caught.

Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.

The foregoing has been compared with the original act passed by the board of supervisors of Franklin county on the 29th day
