AN ACT for the better protection of game in Wyoming county passed December 12th, 1893. All of the members elected to said board being present and voting for the said act.

The board of supervisors of the county of Wyoming, in annual session at Warsaw, N. Y., do enact and declare by resolution as follows:

Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to fish for, catch, kill, or be possessed of trout of any and all kinds within the limits of Wyoming county, except during the months of May and June of each year.

2. It shall be unlawful for any and all persons at any time within the limits of the county of Wyoming to use ferrets in hunting rabbits.

3. It shall be unlawful for any and all persons to kill or be possessed of any grouse, commonly known as partridge, hereafter, except in the month of November and December of each and every year hereafter.

4. Any person or persons violating any of the provisions of section 1 of this act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and

in addition thereto, shall be liable to a penalty of twenty-five dollars for each violation thereof.

5. Any person or persons violating the provisions of section 2, of this act, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and in addition thereto shall be liable to a fine of not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than fifty dollars for each and every violation thereof.

6. Any person or persons violating the provisions of section 3, of this act, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and in addition thereto shall be liable to a fine of not less than ten dollars nor more than twenty-five dollars for each and every violation thereof.

7. Any peace officer of said county or any game protector or special game protector of the State of New York may bring an action for the recovery of any penalty mentioned in this act and shall receive one-half of such penalty so collected for such prosecution, the other one-half to be paid by the court imposing said penalty to the treasurer of Wyoming county for the benefit of the poor fund of the town where the offense was committed.

8. This act shall take effect on the first day of May, 1894.

A law adopted by the board of supervisors of Niagara county, December 22, 1893:

AN ACT for the further protection of game in Niagara county.

Section 1. No person shall kill or have in his possession within the limits of Niagara county any quail or ruffled grouse, commonly called partridge, for the period of three years.

§ 2. Any person violating either of the provisions of section 1 of this act shall be liable to a penalty of twenty-five dollars for each and every bird so killed, to be recovered, executed and enforced, and applied in the same manner as proceeds provided for in section 33, chapter 534 of the Laws of 1879, for the recovery and enforcement of penalties mentioned in said act.

§ 2.* This act shall take effect on and after the first day of May, 1894.

At a session of the board of supervisors, held at Troy, N. Y., March 30th, 1894, the following was adopted:

Whereas, That in the preamble of the ordinance entitled "An ordinance for the additional protection to and further restrictions for the protection of birds, wild animals, game and fish within the county of Rensselaer in the State of New York" passed by the board of supervisors at their session on the fifth day of December, 1893, the dates were printed and read as follows:

"Between the first day of August in each year and the first day of May following;"

Resolved, That the date in the resolution be changed so as to read May first instead of June first.

LAWS OF ULSTER COUNTY - No. 4.

AN ORDINANCE for the additional protection of and further restriction for the protection of birds, animals and game and fish, within the county of Ulster in the State of New York.

The board of supervisors of Ulster county at their annual session held at their rooms in the city of Kingston, in and for said county, on the 14th day of December 1893, pursuant to the power vested in them by section 273 of article 12 of chapter 31 of the General Laws of 1892 of the State of New York, do ordain and enact as follows:

Section 1:- No person shall after the 1st of January 1894, kill within, the limits of said county of Ulster, any woodcock, quail, hare or rabbit, squirrel, ruffled* grouse, commonly called partridge, meadow lark, snipe, rail, wood duck, or speckled or brook trout, for the purpose of selling or marketing the same, nor take or receive any fee, hire, barter or reward from another for the catching or killing of any such bird, animal game or fish, for such other person, nor shall any person, company or corporation, market, sell, have in possession to sell, offer for sale, or attempt to sell any such mentioned birds, game, animals or fish, if caught or killed within.

Section 2: No person, company or corporation, shall carry, ship or transfer from one point to another, either within or without said county, any of said birds, animals, game or fish caught or killed within said county of Usletr,* provided the same are being shipped, carried or transported for the purpose of selling or mar
