TISSUE BUILDING

BOVININE

is most successful because BOVININE supplies
absolute and perfect nutrition.

It not only stimulates, but completely feeds the
new born blood cells, carrying them to full maturity.
It increases the leucocytes and thereby most
powerfully retards pathological processes.

As a food and nutrient it is ideal, requiring little
or no digestion, and being at once absorbed and
assimilated.

For starving anæmic, bottle-fed babies, its results
are immediate and most gratifying, as it is a ready
alimentation as soon as ingested, and never causes
eructation.

It will be found equally reliable for nursing
mothers, affording prompt nourishment and
strength to both mother and babe.

In typhoid fever and all wasting diseases it may
be administered per rectum, and will sustain the
strength and support the heart without need
for recourse to alcoholic stimulants.

Records of hundreds of cases sent on request.

one teaspoonful a day to prevent any return of the condition.

CASE 2.-Miss F. C., age 30; gastro-intestinal catarrh, persistent nausea, vomiting of a frothy mucus, eructation of gas and constipation. Glyco-Thymoline 50 per cent. solution in warm sterilized water; a teaspoonful every two hours did not seem to give any relief. Increased dose, one teaspoonful every hour for twenty-four hours and very little relief noted. I now decided to crowd the remedy still further by giving a teaspoonful full strength every thirty minutes until decided relief. This did the work desired. In four hours all symptoms were relieved and the patient called for something to eat. Raw egg beaten up with a minute quantity of saccharin was allowed. In this case the bowels became regular twice a day. Nothing had been given to produce this result. Does Glyco-Thymoline contain laxative contain laxative properties? This case went on to an uneventful recovery in six weeks.

AN ELIGIBLE CONBINATION.A number of years ago Dr. James J. Sullivan (University Medical College) New York City, applied the remark, "An Eligible Combination" to a then new preparation of well-known synergetic remedial agents. It is almost unnecessary to state that the preparation to which he referred is now well and favorably known as Antikamnia & Codeine Tablets, each tablet containing 4 gr. codeine and 434 grs. antikamnia. A fact which should not be overlooked, is that the codeine used in.this tablet is specially prepared and purified, is non-constipating, and does not induce a habit. These are some of the particularly advantageous features of the Antikamnia Chemical Company's codeine and are well worth bearing in mind. In the harrassing cough of phthisis, or in the pain of pleuritis, in the painful sensation accompanying bronchitis when the tubes are dry and irritable-as they usually are-the blending of the two drugs composing Antikamnia and Codeine Tablets will

GLYCO-HEROIN (Smith)

GLYCO-HEROIN (Smith) is conspicuously valuable in the treatment of Pneumonia, Phthisis and Chronic Affections of the Lungs, for the reason that it is more prompt and decided in effect than either codeine or morphine, and its prolonged use neither leaves undesirable after-effects nor begets the drug habit. It acts as a reparative in an unsurpassable manner.

not be found wanting in action, but will give results that are gratifying to both the patient and the medical attendant. This tablet is a sedative to the respiratory centres in both acute and chronic disorders of the lungs. Cough, in the vast majority of cases, is promptly and lastingly decreased, and often entirely suppressed. In diseases of the respiratory organs, pain and cough are the symptoms which especially call for something to relieve and this tablet does the work. In addition it controls the violent spasms accompanying the cough, which are so distressing.

THE CANADIAN MEDICAL EX

CHANGE.-While the profession practically all know that Dr. Hamill, of the Canadian Medical Exchange, handles over 80 per cent. of all the medical practices sold in Canada, which offers are every month found among our advertising pages, it may not be generally known that he also locates young physicians in fields for practice where there are excellent openings, and where the people have requested a doctor to settle. In fact, Dr. Hamill assures us that he always

has on his register from six to ten openings that are sufficiently inviting to induce any young doctor to start in, with certain assurance of a good living and plenty of scope to enlarge. Physicians desiring a short-cut to their needs in this line will do well to communicate with Dr. Hamill.

SPECIAL TRAINS FOR THE PHYSICIANS EN ROUTE TO PORTLAND, ORE.-Arrangements have been completed under which the Northern Pacific Railway will run three solid special trains through to the Pacific coast for physicians who will go West early in July, to attend the coming sessions of the American Medical Association, the national organization

of doctors. The first special will run through from Chicago, leaving June 30th and reaching St. Paul July 1st, proceeding west and stopping at Gardiner, Mont., for a five and a half day tour of the Yellowstone National Park. A second solid special train will leave Chicago July 1st, reaching St. Paul July 2nd, and proceeding west to Gardiner for a similar tour of the Yellowstone. A third special train will leave Chicago July 6th, running through to Portland with stops at several important points. The Northern Pacific has been designated the official route for the handling of the physicians, and the national officers will go west on one of the first two specials, in both of which accommodations are very
