Delaware, Kentucky, Maryland, and Missouri were the only Southern States represented. One ballot was sufficient to nominate a candidate for President, George B. McClellan receiving 2024, and Horatio Seymour, 281 votes. McClellan's nomination was, on the motion of Mr. Vallandigham, of Ohio, made unanimous. For Vice-President, George H.
