AN IDEAL SUMMER RESORT.

A COSEY WINTER RESORT

This beautiful hotel enjoys the enviable reputation of occupying the most healthful and picturesque location in the vicinity of New York. Because of its situation on one of the highest points on Staten Island and of the happy combination of seashore and country, physicians have pronounced the hotel a health resort. Malaria is unknown and the natural protection from contagion or infection of any kind is too well established to be questioned.

In winter it is an attractive home for families, especially those having children to educate, being but a short distance from the new Staten Island Academy and other excellent schools.

Special attention is given to dinner parties. Everybody praises the "table." In construction the Hotel Castleton is replete with modern improvements. The water, from artesian wells, passes through germ-proof filters. There are sun parlors and over 900 feet of piazzas. Many of these are enclosed in glass and lead to one of the most delightful features of the house, a dancing pavilion, from which a complete view of the upper bay, New York City and surroundings is obtained. Billiard and pool tables and bowling alleys for ladies and gentlemen. The facilities for driving, horseback riding and bicycling are unsurpassed.

Western Union wires and telephone connections. Take Staten Island Ferry foot of Broadway, New York. Hotel stage meets boats. Rates, $3.50 to $5.00 per day. Full information at Brooklyn Eagle Bureau.
