WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 1871. Senato met, pursuant to adjournment of the 17th day of April, 1871, at 12 o'clock M. Lieutenant-Governor Dougherty in the chair. The journal of April 17, 1871, was rea 1 by the Secretary and approved. The President then presented the following resignation of O. B. Sie: On account of business engagements, I am compelled to offer to you this my resignation of the office of Second Assistant Secretary of ihe Senate of the State of Illinois. Respectfully, 0. B. KNICKERBOOKER. On motion of Mr. Eddy, Mr. Knickerbocker's resignation was accepted. On motion of Mr. Little, Messrs. Starne, Underwood, Voris, Washburn, Whiting, Williams, Woodard. Solomon, Mr. Washburn asked leave of absence for Mr. Crawford until Mon day next; which was granted. Mr. Dore asked leave of absence for Mr. Jewett until Monday next; Mr. Williams asked leave of absence for Mr. Richardson, on account of sickness; which was granted. At 12:28 o'clock P.
