the purpose of affording an idea of the character scope of the Books, Manuscripts and Autog Letters contained in the Library of Mr. Georg Thomas.

It may be of interest, by way of preface, to a few facts concerning the Library itself. Ther about twenty eight hundred volumes of all kinds majority bound in full leather. The Dickens lection, comprising every Dickens item in its or condition, each contained in a separate morocco is probably the most complete as a collection, bu collection of Cruikshankiana is also very com and there are the usual full sets of the best editio standard authors. The autographs are inlaid t propriate size and are contained in Paris Bin with the general idea of keeping the letters of sentatives of each period together. There are extra illustrated books, among which may be tioned Doran's "Annals of the Stage" extend thirteen volumes folio, and Cunningham's Gwyn" in two large folios with many spl mezzotints. Life of Mrs. Piozzi 2 volumes. L Garrick 6 volumes. Lives of the Sheridan volumes, etc.
