During a discussion at the Academy of Medicine, New York, May 10th, 1894, the Professor of Diseases of Children in Bellevue Medical College, Dr. J. Lewis Smith, said that NUTROLACTIS had been found to decidedly increase mother's milk in two institutions with which he was connected.

DR. ROBERT MILLBANK Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, New York; Member of New York County Medical Society, Member of Society of Alumni, Bellevue Hospital; Late Visiting Physician N. Y. Infant Asylum, said in The New York Medical Journal, Nov. 16, 1896: I gave a few years ago the results of about one hundred cases in my hospital practice in which I prescribed NUTROLACTIS. I believe that when mother's milk is scanty and of poor quality, it restores the normal flow and quality, and causes a corresponding improvement in the digestion and nutrition of the infant. I have never seen any bad effects from its continued use to either mother or child.

AMERICAN JOURNAL OF OBSTETRICS.

all disorders of the respiratory tract in which inflammation or cough is a conspicuous
factor, incomparably beneficial results can be secured by the administration of

Glyco-Heroin (Smith)

The preparation instantly diminishes cough, augments
expulsion of secretions, dispels oppressive sense of suffo-
cation, restores regular, pain-free respiration and subdues
inflammation of the air passages.

The marked analgesic, antispasmodic, balsamic, expectorant, mucus-modifying and
Inflammation-allaying properties of GLYCO-HEROIN (SMITH) explain
curative action of the preparation in the treatment of

Coughs, Bronchitis, Pneumonia, Laryngitis,
Pulmonary Phthisis, Asthma, Whooping Cough,
and the various disorders of the breathing passages.
GLYCO-HEROIN (SMITH) is admittedly the ideal heroin product. It is superior
to preparations containing codeine or morphine, in that it is vastly more
potent and does not beget the bye-effects common to those drugs.

DOSE-The adult dose is one teaspoonful repeated every
two or three hours. For children of more than three
years of age, the dose is from five to ten drops.

Samples and exhaustive literature bearing upon the preparation will be sent, past
dd, on request.

Buffalo LITHIA

WATER

In ALBUMINURIA OF PREGNANCY and

BRIGHT'S DISEASE

[ocr errors]

DR. ALFRED L. LOOMIS, Professor of Pathology and Practical Medicine in the Medical Department of the University of New York, wrote: For the past four years I have used Buffalo Lithia Water in the treatment of Chronic Bright's Disease occurring in Gouty and Rheumatic subjects, with marked benefit."

DR. J. PAGE MASSIE, B. A., Professor of Obstetrics in the Medical College of Virginia, Richmond, Va.: “I have used quite extensively and with excellent results, Buffalo Lithia Water in the Albuminuria of Pregnancy and in all other conditions incident to pregnancy, in which the Kidneys fail to do their duty in eliminating the products of metabolism. A liberal use of the water will prevent the accumulation of urea and other poisonous products in the system, and in this way uræmia and puerperal convulsions can be avoided."

DR. GEORGE BEN. JOHNSTON, Richmond, Va., Ex-President Southern Surgical and Gynecological Association, Ex-President Medical Society of Virginia, and Professor of Gynecology and Abdominal Surgery, Medical College of Virginia: "It is an agent of great value in the treatment of the Albuminuria of Pregnancy."

Additional testimony on request to the Proprietor, Buffalo Lithia Springs, Virginia

Lysol

USED EVERY DAY IN EVERY HOSPITAL IN OBSTETRICAL AND GENERAL SURGICAL WORK Lysol possesses the power of loosening and removing bacteria from the

surfaces or structures to which they adhere, because of its soapy character. It dissolves all fats and oils and exposes the germs to its immediate destructive action.

Lysol Lysol has greater antiseptic power than
