The Quarterly Record

is published by the STATE BOARD OF CHARITIES of New York primarily as a medium of communicating information of a practical nature, respecting philanthropic work and progress, to those who are interested in the public and private charitable activities of the State.

It is hoped also that the RECORD will be of assistance in securing improvements in the administration of the charities of New York State and in bringing about more perfect co-operation between them, an object greatly to be desired as a means towards rendering their work more beneficent and effective.

The RECORD will be published quarterly on the first of March, June, September and December, under the auspices of an Editorial Committee, consisting of the following named Commissioners of the Board:

WILLIAM R. STEWART

ENOCH V. STODDARD, M. D.
STEPHEN SMITH, M. D.
