The work in the various departments accruit during my term has been kept fully up, so that I will be enabled turn over the office to my successor with no arrears of work on hand The various clerks in the Secretary of State's office have been di gent, faithful, and courteous in the discharge of their several dutie and deserve commendation for the manner in which they have pe formed their work. Your official acts as Governor have been duly attested, and correct record kept of the same, and all the business of the off properly registered as by law required. Respectfully submitted. D. M.
