Sing unto God, sing praises unto his name; extol him that rideth upon the heavens, &c. A Father of the fatherless, &c.-Ps. Ixviii. 4, 5.

I will praise the Lord with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving this also shall please the Lord better than an ox, &c.-Ps. Ixix. 30, 31.

By thee have I been holden up from the womb: my praise shall be continually of thee, &c. My mouth shall shew forth thy righteousness, and thy salvation all the day.-Ps. lxxi. 6. 15. 24.

We will not hide them from their children : : shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, &c. -Ps. lxxviii. 4. lxxxix. 1.

It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord; and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High: to shew forth thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.-Ps. xcii. 1, 2.

O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation: let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, &c.Ps. xcv. 1,2. xcvi. 1, 2. c. 1, 2.

unto the Lord, for he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever. Who can utter the mighty acts of the Lord? Who can shew forth all his praise? &c. Then believed they his words; they sang his praise, they soon forgat his works, &c.-Ps. cvi. 1, 2. 12, 13: exlvii. 1.

Praise ye the Lord: O give thanks

O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good, &c. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed, &c. O that men would praise the Lord, &c. let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders. Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the loving-kindness of the Lord.-Ps. cvii. 1, 2. 6. 8. 15. 21. 31, 32. 43. cxxxv. 1-5. cxviii. 1, &c.

I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.— Ps. cxi. 1. lxxxvi. 12.

heart: before the gods will I sing praise unto thee, &c. for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth, &c. Ps. cxxxviii. 1, 2.

I will praise thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made, &c.-Ps.

I will extol thee, my God, O King: and I will bless thy name for ever and ever, &c. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised and his great ness is unsearchable. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy Majesty, and of thy wondrous works; and men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts, and I will declare thy greatness; they shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great ness, &c. Thy saints shall bless thee; they shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.Ps. cxlv. 1-3. 5—7. 10—12.

eth the times and the seasons. He removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, &c. He revealeth the deep and secret things, &c. I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers, who hast given me wisdom and might, and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee; for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter.-Dan. ii. 19–23.

Sing unto the Lord a new song, &c. The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, &c.-Isa. xlii. 10. 13, &c. .:

This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise; but thou hast not called upon me, &c. -Isa. xliii. 21, 22.

When Christ had healed the two blind men, they spread abroad his fame in all that country.-Matt. ix. 31. Luke v. 25. xviii. 43. Mary, upon the promise made to her, praiseth God: my soul doth magnify the Lord, &c. The heavenly host praised God, saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, &c. Simeon took up Jesus, and blessed God, and said, &c. Anna the prophetess coming in at that instant, gave thanks likewise unto the Lord.-Luke i. 46, &c. ii. 13, 14. 28, 29. 36. 38.

Christ said unto the man out of whom he had cast devils, Return to thine own house, and shew how great things God hath done unto thee. And he went his way, and published throughout the whole city, how great things, &c.-Luke viii. 38, 39.

When Christ had healed ten lepers, one of them turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks. And Jesus answering, said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine? There are not found that returned to give glory to God save this stranger.-Luke xvii. 12. 14-18.

forteth us in all our tribulations, that we may be able to, &c. You also helping together. by prayer for us: that for the gifts bestowed upon us by the means of many persons, thanks may be given by many on our behalf. -2 Cor. i. 3, 4. 11.

The sting of death is sin, &c. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory, through our Lord Jesus. -1 Cor. xv. 56, 57.

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ; and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.-2 Cor. ii. 14.

We having the same spirit of faith, &c. and therefore speak, &c. All things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might, through the thanksgiving of many, redound to the glory of God.-2 Cor. iv. 13. 15.

Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God: for the administration of this service not only supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many thanksgivings unto God; whilst by the experiment of this ministration they glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ.2 Cor. ix. 11—13.

God, and our Father; to whom be glory for ever and ever, Amen. They glorified God in me.-Gal. i. 4, 5. 24.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings, &c. that we should be to the praise of his glory, &c. I also, &c. cease not to give thanks for you, &c.Eph. i. 3. 12. 15, 16.

Unto him that is able to do exceeding, &c. unto him be glory in the church, by Christ Jesus.-Eph. iii. 20, 21.

Speaking to yourselves in psalms, &c. giving thanks always for all things unto God, and the Father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.Eph. v. 19, 20. Col. iii. 16.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you.--Phil. i. 3. 1 Thess. i. 2. 2 Tim. i. 3.

Be careful for nothing; but in every thing, by prayer and supplica

tion with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known, &c. Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever, Amen.-Phil. iv. 6. 20. We give thanks to God, and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, &c. Since we heard of your faith, &c. Giving thanks unto the Father, who -hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints.-Col. i. 3. 9. 12. 1 Thess. i. 2, 3.

In the faith, &c. abounding therein with thanksgiving.-Col. ii. 7.

Be ye thankful. And whatsoever ye do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ: giving thanks to God and the Father by -him.-Col. iii. 15. 17.

Sanctify the Lord God in your hearts; and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear-1 Pet. iii. 15.

Ye are a chosen generation, &c. that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you, &c.--1 Pet. ii. 9

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God, &c. that God in all things may be glorified, through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever, Amen.1 Pet. iv. 11. v. 11.

Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, to him be glory both now and for ever-2 Pet. iii. 18.

Now unto him that is able, &c. to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion, &c.Jude 24, 25.

Fear God, and give glory unto him. Rev. xiv. 7.

And they sing the song of Moses, &c. saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty, &c. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy, &c.-Rev. xv. 3, 4.
