He is the Rock, his work is perfect, &c. Jeshurun, &c. forsook God, &c. and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation, &c. Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, &c. Their Rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges, &c. neither is there any who can deliver out of God's hand.-Deut. xxxii. 4. 15. 18.31.39. 1 Sam. ii. 2. 2 Sam. xxii. 3. 32. That all the people of the eart might. know the hand of the Lord; that it is mighty, that ye might fear, &c.-Josh. iv. 24. v. 14.

He is Omniscient, Omnipresent, Immense.

THOU, God, seest me for she said, Have I also here looked after him that seeth me?-Gen. xvi. 13.

God said, I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go; no, not by a mighty hand.-Exod. iii 19.

The Lord is a God of knowledge. by him actions are weighed.-1 Sam. ii. 3. Job xxi. 22. xxxvii. 16.

The Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.-1 Sam. xvi. 7. Luke xvi. 15.

Thou, thou only knowest the hearts of all the children of men.-1 Kings viii. 39.

The Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts. If thou seek him, he, &c.-1 Chron. xxviii. 9. Deut. xxxi. 21. Ps. cxlvii. 5.

Behold, heaven, and the heaven of heavens cannot contain thee, &c.2 Chron. vi. 18. Jer. xxiii. 24.

Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering.-Job xxvi. 6.

His eye seeth every precious thing. God understandeth the way thereof; and he knoweth the place thereof; for he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven. Job xxviii. 10. 23, 24. Isa. xl. 28. His eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings. There is no darkness, &c. where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.Job xxxiv. 21, 22. Ps. xi. 4, 5. Job xxxi. 4.

The Lord looketh from heaven ;

he beholdeth all the sons of men, &c. -Ps. xxxiii. 13-15.

Heaven is my throne, earth is my footstool.-Isa. lxvi. 1. Acts vii. 49. Understand, ye brutish, &c. He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see? &c. The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.-Ps.xciv. 8, 9.11. 1 Cor. iii. 20.

Thou, &c. understandest my thought afar off; thou, &c. art acquainted with all my ways: for there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether, &c. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, &c. Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there, &c.-Ps. cxxxix. 2-9, &c. Prov. v. 21. Jer. xxiii. 23, 24. Job ix. 11.

The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good, Hell and destruction are before the Lord: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?-Prov. XV. 3.11. 2 Chron. xvi. 9.

Woe unto them who seek deep to hide their counsel from the Lord; and say, Who seeth us? who knoweth us > Shall the thing framed say of him that framed it, He hath no understanding? Isa. xxix. 15, 16.

Mine eyes are upon all their ways: they are not hid from my face; neither is their iniquity hid from mine eyes. Jer. xvi. 17. xxxii. 19. 27.

I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins.-Jer. xvii. 10. xx. 12. Ps. xliv. 21.

Am I a God at hand, and not afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places, that I shall not see him? &c. Do not I fill heaven and earth?-Jer. xxiii. 23, 24. xxxii. 19.

Thy Father who seeth in secret, himself shall reward thee openly, &c. Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.— Matt. vi. 4. 6. 8. 18. Rom. viii. 27.

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, &c. but the Father.-Mark xiii. 32.

I know the things which come into your mind, every one of them.-Ezek. xi. 5. Amos iv. 13. He revealed the deep and secret things: He knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with bim. Dan. ii. 22. 28, Job xii. 22.

God cannot be tempted with evil; neither tempteth he any man.-James. i. 13.

For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which

Thy mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens.-Ps. xxxvi. 5. lvii. 10.

Thou art a God full of compassion, and gracious, long-suffering, and plenteous in mercy.-Ps. lxxxvi. 15. cxi. 4. cxlv. 8. lxxviii. 38, 39.

Mercy, &c. shall go before thy face. -Ps. lxxxix. 14.

His mercy endureth for ever, &c. -Ps. cxxxvi. 1, &c. Luke i. 50.

Where, &c. is the sounding of thy bowels, and of thy mercies?-Isa. Ixiii. 15.

The Lord is good: his mercy is everlasting.-Ps..c. 5. i

The Lord is merciful, &c. he will not always chide, &c. As the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them who fear him. Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them who fear him: for he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.-Ps. ciii. 8, 9. 11. 13, 14. Hosea xi. 8, 9. James v. 11.

--I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the Lord: I will not keep anger for ever.-Jer. iii. 12. Judges x. 15, 16.

Ephraim, my dear son, &c. my bowels are troubled for him: I will surely have mercy on him, &c.—Jer, xxxi. 20. 2 Chron. xxxvi. 15.

To the Lord our God belong mercies, &c.-Dan. ix. 9.

I knew that thou art a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repentest thee of the evil.-Jonah iv. 2. ↑ Joel ii. 13. Hos. xi. 8, 9. Judges ii. 18.

Who is a God like unto thee, who pardoneth iniquity? &c. He retain eth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.-Mic. vii. 18.
