fillest all things living with plenteousness. The Lord is righteous in all His ways and holy in all His works. The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon Him, yea, all such as call upon Him faithfully. He will fulfil the desire of them that fear Him: He also will hear their cry and will help them. The Lord preserveth all them that love Him.-Psalm cxlv, 8-9, 14-20.

When my soul fainted within me I remembered the Lord.-Jonah ii, 7.

The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble, and He knoweth them that trust in Him.-Nahum i, 7.

At evening time it shall be light.Zechariah xiv, 7.

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee. Trust ye the Lord for ever: for in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength.-Isaiah xxvi, 3—4.

Therefore will the Lord wait that He may be gracious unto you . . blessed are all they that wait for Him.—Isaiah xxx, 18.

Fear not thou; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.-Isaiah xli, 10.

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. -Isaiah lv, 1.

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.-St. Matthew v, 3, 5-9.

For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.-St. Matthew vii, 8.

Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you, and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.-St. Matthew xi, 28-30.

Father, if Thou be willing, remove this cup from Me: nevertheless not My will, but Thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto Him from heaven, strengthening Him. St. Luke xxii, 42, 43.

But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.St. John i, 12.

But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.—St. John iv, 14.

And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life he that cometh to Me shall never

hunger; and he that believeth on Me shall never thirst.-St. John vi, 35.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.-St. John viii, 12.

I am the door: by Me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth His life for the sheep.-St. John x, 9, 11.

Let not your heart be troubled ye believe in God, believe also in Me.-St. John xiv, 1.

When Jesus therefore saw His mother, and the disciple standing by, whom He loved, He saith unto His mother, Woman, behold thy son !*-St. John xix, 26.

the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.*St. John xx, 26.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.† -Romans viii, 6.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? -Romans viii, 31, 32.

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.-2 Cor. i, 4.

As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed; as sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich;

* Think over the invisible presence of Jesus shedding peace.

+ Here is comfort for the spiritually minded. They shall have life and peace.
