such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.-I. Cor. x, 13.

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ. Who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father. -Galatians i, 3, 4.

In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the richness of His grace.-Ephesians i, 7.

And you hath He quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins.-Ephesians ii, 1.

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.-I Timothy i, 15.

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.-I Timothy ii, 5, 6.

For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted.-Hebrews ii, 18.

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.-Hebrews iv 14, 15.

Wherefore He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them.-Hebrews vii, 25.

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for Him shall He appear the second time without sin unto salvation.-Hebrews ix, 28.

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.-II St. Peter iii, 9.

But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I St. John i, 7—9.

And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.-I St. John ii, 2.

I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for His name's sake.—I St. John ii, 12.

And ye know that He was manifested to take away our sins; and in Him is no sin. -I St. John iii, 5.

Hereby perceive we the love of God, because He laid down His life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. -I St. John iii, 16.

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.-I. St. John iv, 9, 10.

O GO not from me, for trouble is hard at hand and there is none to help me.-Psalm xxii, 11.

Hear, O Lord, and have mercy upon me: Lord be Thou my helper.-Psalm xxx, 11.

In Thee, O Lord, have I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion, deliver me in Thy righteousness. Bow down Thine ear to me make haste to deliver me. And be Thou my strong rock, and house of defence that Thou mayest save me. For Thou art my strong rock, and my castle : be Thou also my guide, and lead me for Thy Name's sake.-Psalm xxxi, 1—4.

O be Thou our help in trouble for vain is the help of man.—Psalm lx, 11.
