Esther Dunch of St. Neot's, co. Huntingdon, died 6 June 1807, in her 87th year.

Dorothy Dunch, youngest da.; her mar--William Wright, Barrister-at-Law of riage licence granted in the Faculty Office of the Inner Temple 1682; Recorder 22 August 1683, then aged 22; died in of Oxford 1688; a Welsh Judge 1714; London 22 and was buried 26 May 1686 of Trinity College, Oxford, November in St. Martin's Church, Oxford, in her 1674, then aged 15; died 1721. 25th year.

JOHN GORE was probably the third son of Sir William Gore of Tring, Lord Mayor of London in 1702. He resided at Bush Hill, Middlesex, and was M.P. for Great Grimsby. He married Hannah, daughter of Sir J. Sambrooke of North Mimms, Knt., and died 3 August 1765, aged 74, being buried at Tring.

SIR THOMAS MIDDLETON, Knt., Alderman of London. Will dated 20 Nov. 1630; proved 15 Aug. 1631 by Dame Ann Middleton the relict. To be buried in the Chapel of Chirke Castle or in the Chapel at Stansted Montfitchet, both being my late inheritance. My wife Ann sole Ex'ix. My three children Sir Thomas Middleton, Knt., Timothie Middleton, & Mary wife of Sir John Maynard. All my manors, lands, etc., in Essex to my 2nd son Timothie Middleton. The manor of Banwell Bruton, co. Som., to my da. Mary Maynard. The children of my brother Sir Hugh Middleton, Knt., & of my other brothers and sisters. The two children of my late wife Elizabeth Davers by a former husband. My late master Mr Ferdinando Poyntz. Mrs Mary Farrer, widow of Mr Nicholas Farrer, my late partner. WILLIAM DOLBEN‡ of Stanwicke in the countie of Northampton, Doctor of Divinity. Will dated 1 Sep. 1631; proved 25 Oct. 1631 by ex'trix. To be buried in the parish church to which this house where I now am belongs, or elsewhere at direction of the Bishop of Lincoln. My dear cousin William Midleton, late of London, mercht, hath by his will ordained me his sole ex'or, and put trust in me for the performing of several charitable legacies in the performance of which I am (God knowes) most uncharitably and wrongfully hindred by John Chambers and Anne his wife, and some others who I am ashamed to name. And I beseech God to forgive and convert them, and I appoint Richard Owen of Buckden, co. Hunts, gent., steward to the Bishop of Lincoln, supervisor of my will, to assist my ex'trix against

† She was Anna, daughter of Gerard Vanacker of Antwerp and London, widow of Jacob Wittewronge. Her son John, created a Baronet 2 May 1662, married first Mary, granddaughter of his stepfather Middleton, and secondly Elizabeth, another granddaughter of his stepfather's, and first-cousin to his first wife. From this marriage through Elizabeth Wittewronge, Lady Gery, descended Susanna Gery, wife of Sir John Cullum, fifth Baronet of Hawstead and Hardwick. He was Bishop Designate of Bangor, son of John Dolben of Haverfordwest, by Alice, sister of Sir Thomas Middleton, Lord Mayor of London.

Pembroke, esq., is accountable to me for the profits of the rectory of Stackpoole. To my dear cousin his wife Judith Lorte I give one Jewell wch is now in my deske at Stanwicke garnished with small pearles, havinge the holy lambe on the one side and the Crucifix on the other, wch Jewell was my deare Mother's. To the children of the said Henry & Judith 20s each. Godson William Lorte. My niece Elizabeth Wogan. My uncle Sir Hugh Midleton & his lady. To their son William I give a seal ring which was my uncle Charles Midleton's, since bequeathed me by his son William. To the rest of his children 20 each. Robert Bateman, Chamberlain of London. Richard Midleton of London, merchant. To Nicholas Grey of Marchantailors' Schoole in London I give Casabane's and Montague's Exercitations against Baronius. Poor of Stanwicke and Benneyfeild. To the town of Haberford West in Pembrokeshire 20 to be added to the legacy of my cousin William Midleton. The poor of Lants, Higham, and Artelbowrne in Northants, my neighbours. The residue of my goods to be divided into seven parts, two of which I give to my wife Elizabeth my ex'trix, and one part to each of my five children. To the Lord Bishop of Lincoln all my lands, etc., to settle one third part upon my wife for life, and apply the rest to the use of my children. Witness, Tho. Eden, Hen. SIR HUGH MIDDELTON, Bart, Cit. & Goldsmith of London, sick of body, etc. Will dated 21 Nov. 1631; proved 21 Dec. 1631 by Dame Elizth Myddleton the relict. To be burd in Church of St Mathewe in London where I was some time a parishioner, & a monument there to be set up for me. To my Wife Dame Elizabeth Middelton all her chains, rings, jewels, etc., and also the deep silver bason, Spout pott, & Maudlyn Cup of Silver. My son William Middelton has already had his portion, & I now give him £100, & to his wife £10. My da. Jane has had her portion on her marriage, & I now give her & her husband Dr Chamberlaine £10 each for rings. My da. Hester hath had £1000, part of her portion of £1900, & the remainder is detained till the articles on the part of the Lady Price are performed on behalf of her grandson Rich Price, Esq., who was under age at the time of the marriage of the sd Hester, & I give to them (over & above the £900) £10 each for rings.* To my sons Henry Middelton & Simon Middelton £400 each. To my da. Elizabeth Middelton £500. To my da. Anne £500. Poor of Henllan where I was born £20. Poor of Denbigh £20. Poor of Amwell, Herts, £5. To my nephew Capt. Roger Middelton £30. Certain messuages & lands named in an Indenture (19 March 1630) to be sold by my Ex'ix, & also my shares in the Mines Royall in Wales, & if she dies before such sale then my sons William & Henry to sell them. Concerning my part & Shares in the New River & Waterworks brought from Chadwell & Amwell, Herts, to the City of London, I give the same to my wife Dame Elizabeth for life, she to sell parts of the same for payment of my debts. To my sons William Middelton, Henry Middelton, & Simon Middelton, and my das Elizabeth Middelton & Anne Middelton one share each of the afores River & Waterworks. Another Share to Rich Rogers & others, Citizens & Goldsmiths of London, Assistants of the Goldsmiths' Company. My house at Bush Hill, Edmonton, Midds, to my wife for life, & after to my youngt son Simon Middelton. My wife to have the keeping of that Great Jewel which was given me by the Lord Mayor & Aldermen of London, & at her death to leave it to such one of my sons as she shall think fit.
