The Significance of the Parables of Jesus Christ is a collection of the parables spoken by Jesus Christ. For each parable the significance for the time of Jesus Christ is included. The forty-two parables are divided into six categories and for each category the significance for the modern day is discussed. The book has been written for the layman and it is hoped that those who read it will understand and be amazed at the messages that are in the parables. George Barton retired after thirty-one years as a college and university administrator and professor. Upon retirement he and his wife moved to Long Creek, South Carolina, where he is a licensed Southern Baptist minister. He teaches the Bible and fills in and preaches in churches throughout the county when needed. He is the author of The ABCs of Being a Christian published by Xulon Press. He thanks the Lord every day for His support, guidance, and direction as he serves Him in his Christian duties and activities.
