An Act to authorise the Transfer of certain Loan Moneys. [Assented to, November 14th, 1884.]

W

HEREAS the moneys borrowed for public purposes under the authority of Acts of Parliament have been on various occasions in excess of the amounts required for the purposes authorised by the said Acts: And whereas it is desirable to appropriate certain sums so borrowed, which remain unexpended, or unlikely to be required, to purposes other than those for which they were borrowed-Be it therefore Enacted by the Governor of the Province of South Australia, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly of the said province, in this present Parliament assembled, as follows:

Preamble.

1. The sums of money received by the Treasurer in excess of the Application moneys. requirements of the public works set forth in the first column of the Schedule A hereto, under the authority of the Acts of Parliament set forth in the second column of the said Schedule, and which sums of money are more particularly set forth in the third column of the said Schedule, shall be applied by him to the construction of the public works and for the other purposes set forth in the Schedule B hereto, details of which are contained in Parliamentary Paper No. 176 of 1884, and to the extent therein set forth, and shall be so applied by the Treasurer in such amounts and manner as the Governor, by any warrant under his hand, countersigned by the Chief Secretary, may from time to time authorise and direct.

said as may be required for salaries of officers for the public works hereby authorised to be constructed, shall be annually submitted to Parliament.
