On the recommendation of the Committee on Transfers, the following transfers were approved:

806. John W. Murphy, from the position of Financial Clerk, at a salary of $900 per annum, to that of Bookkeeper, at a salary of $1,200 per annum, in the Department of Finance, he having the requisite standing on the eligible list for appointment to the latter position.

The appeal of Peter Morgan, No. 295 Broadway, that his name be restored to the eligible list of Laborer, Borough of Manhattan, was granted upon the recommendation of the Labor Clerk, it appearing that the notice of appointment sent him by the Department of Water Supply, Gas and Electricity on June 28, 1907, had failed to reach him.
