Or, an holy day to the Lord, Ø qyin, unless joined with the verb yon, means crying out, or invoking the Lord. It is true, the Rabins take this as a hint for the traditional custom of blowing the horn on that day which was established by Moses at the commandment of the Lord, though we find no mention made of it in the Pentateuch; but David, in Psalm (xxxi. ver. 3, mentions it ;-—but, by the common method of the English translator, 90 is rendered there and almost every where else, trumpet, when it should be cornet, as he himself renders it in Psalm xcviii. ver. 6.
