EDITORIAL.

Our Outlook.

No. 1.

With the beginning of a new year, the Western Medical Review desires to call attention to the progress it has achieved during the past two years and also to some of its ambitions for the future. During the early months of the present management the Review was subjected to considerable adverse criticism on account of the character of some of its advertisements. The critics did not at that time realize the many difficulties in the way of a radical change in advertising policy, but gradually the change has been made and for some time very little criticism has been heard. We are pleased to announce that from now on, the pages of the Review will be free from unethical advertisements.

In spite of the material loss from this change in policy, the Review has steadily gained in fiancial stability and is now in a fairly prosperous condition. The business management deserves much credit for this state of affairs as the cost of publication has largely increased owing to increaed circulation, and enlargement and improvement of the journal.
