CHAPTER VI.

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE JEW AND THE GREEK FOR THE SAME LORD IS RICH UNTO ALL THAT CALL UPON HIM. FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE

LORD SHALL BE SAVED. Romans x. 12, 13. "GOD HATH CONCLUDED THEM ALL IN UNBELIEF, THAT HE MIGHT HAVE MERCY UPON ALL.” Romans xi. 32.

THERE is a remarkable passage in the Jews' Prayer-Book, which is as follows:-"Messiah, our righteousness has turned from us; we are dispersed, and there is none to justify us; our sins and the yoke of our transgressions He has borne, and He was wounded for our transgressions. The missionary read to him some sweet gospel truths, such as, "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us." Gal. iii. 13. "It pleased the Father that in Him should all fulness dwell. Having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things to Himself. And you, that were formerly alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled in the body of His flesh through death." Col. i. 19-22.

"That is just what I want," said the Jew, "and what we Jews have not got. It is the blood we want; yes, the blood of Jesus Christ! His blood
