To enable the Public Printer to comply with the provisions of the law granting holidays and
Executive orders granting half holidays with pay to the employees of the Government Print-
ing Office (acts Mar. 4, 1909, vol. 28, p. 1021, sec. 1; June 23, 1913, vol. 38, p. 67, sec. 1)................

NOTE. For the fiscal year ended June 30, 1913, there was appropriated $201,200, all of which has been expended.
A further appropriation of $809.89 has been requested with which to settle unpaid accounts.

Leaves of Absence, Government Printing Office

To enable the Public Printer to comply with the provisions of the law granting 30 days' annual leave to the employees of the Government Printing Office (acts Jan. 12, 1895, vol. 28, p. 604, sec. 23; June 23, 1913, vol. 38, p. 68, sec. 1)........

For the public printing, for the public binding, and for paper for the public printing and binding, including the cost of printing the debates and proceedings of Congress in the Congressional Record, and for lithographing, mapping, and engraving for both Houses of Congress, the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of the District of Columbia, the Court of Claims, the Library of Congress, the Smithsonian Institution, the Interstate Commerce Commission, the International Bureau of American Republics, the Executive Office, and the departments; for salaries, compensation, or wages of all necessary employees additional to those herein specifically appropriated for, including the compensation of the foreman of binding and the foreman of printing; rents, fuel, gas, electric current, gas and electric fixtures; bicycles, horses, wagons, harness, electrical vehicles, and the care, driving, and subsistence of the same, to be used only for official purposes, including the purchase, maintenance, and driving of horses and vehicles for official use of the officers of the Government Printing Office when in writing ordered by the Public Printer; freight, expressage, telegraph and telephone service; furniture, typewriters, and carpets; traveling expenses, stationery, postage, and advertising; directories, technical books, and books of reference, not exceeding $500; adding and numbering machines, time stamps, and other machines of similar character; machinery, not exceeding $200,000; equipment, and for repairs to machinery, implements, and buildings, and for minor alterations to buildings; necessary equipment, maintenance, and supplies for the emergency room for the use of all employees in the Government Printing Office who may be taken suddenly ill or receive injury while on duty; other necessary contingent and miscellaneous items authorized by the Public Printer; and for all the necessary materials and equipment needed in the prosecution and delivery and mailing of the work (acts Jan. 12, 1895, vol. 28, p. 608, sec. 49; June 23, 1913, vol. 38, p. 68, sec. 1)..
