V. The Elect shall not be gathered together till the Refurrection, &c. Mat. xxiv.31. Mark xiii. 26, 27. as above, Sect.II. 2 Theff.ii.1.-we beseech you, brethren, by the Coming of our Lord Jesus Chrift, and by our gathering together unto him,

VI. The world shall not be judged before the Refurrection, &c. Matt. xvi. 27. the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father, with his Angels; and then he fhall reward every man according to his works. Job. xii. 48. He that rejecteth me, the word that I have fpoken, the fame fhall judge him in the last day. Acts xvii.31.

he hath appointed a Day in the which he will judge the world in righteousness, by that man whom he hath ordained. Rom. ii. 16. In the Day when God fhall judge the fecrets of men by Jefus Christ. 1 Cor. iii. 13, 14, 15. Every man's work fhall be made manifeft. For the Day fhall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work, of what fort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burnt, he fhall fuffer loss; but he himself fhall be faved; yet fo as by fire. iv.5.- judge no

God. 2Tim. iv.1. the Lord Jefus Chrift, who fhall judge the quick and dead at his appearing. Heb.vi.1,2.the doctrine-of refurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. Rev. xx.12,13,14,15.I faw the dead, fmall and great, ftand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the fea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to his works. And death and hell were caft into the lake of fire: This is the second death. And whofoever was not found written in the book of life, was caft into the lake of fire.

VII. Sincere Christians shall not have boldness, or confidence, before Chrift, 'till the Refurrection, &c. 1 John ii. 28.—Little children, abide in him that when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his Coming. iv. 17. the prefence of the Lord. 1 Cor. v.5.To deliver fuch an one unto Satan for the deftruction of the flesh, that the Spirit may be faved in the day of the Lord Jefus. 2 Cor. i.14. -we are your rejoycing, even as ye alfo are ours in the day of the Lord Jefus. v. 2, 3, 4.- we grone earneftly, defiring to be clothed upon with our houfe which is from heaven: if fo be that being clothed, we shall not be found naked. For we that are in this tabernacle do grone, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life, (Comp. I Cor. xv. 52,53,54. the dead thall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed: For this corruptible muft put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal fhall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.) Eph. iv.30.-grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are fealed unto the day of redemption. Rev. xi. 18.- thy wrath is come, and the time of thedead that they should be judged, and that thou shouldft give reward unto thy fervants the prophets, and to the faints, to them that fear thy name, fmall and great, and shouldft destroy them that destroy the earth.

IX. They shall not have eternal life, or falvation; fhall not put on Immortality, be received unto Chrift, enter into his joy, behold his glory, or be like him, till the Resurrection, &c. John vi. 54. as above in Sect. viii. my father's house are many manfions-I go to

For I reckon that the fufferings of this prefent time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us.-19.For the earnest expectation of the creature, waiteth for the manifeftation of the Sons of God.-23.-not only they, but ourselves alfo, which have the firft-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves grone within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body. Add 1 Cor.xv.52,53,54. as above, Sect. VIII. Phil. iii. 20,21. For our converfation is in heaven, from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jefus Chrift: who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body. Col. iii. 4.-when Chrift who is our life fhall appear, then fhall ye alfo appear with him in glory. 1Theff. ii. 19. What is our hope, or joy, or
