FOR PUZZLING CASES

The physician often desires something more complete than the average condensed Materia Medica. Where the crisis is not imminent, or the course of disease unsatisfactory, time is frequently required to work out the indicated remedy, and a grave responsibility rests upon the physician.

HERING'S GUIDING SYMPTOMS represents the results of thousands of PUZZLING CASES. The physician who refers to this work is treading in the foot-steps of those great pioneers in Homeopathy who forced their way so effectively to the front. It is the clinically verified Materia Medica of HERING assisted by the great investigators of his time.

FASHIONS OF TREATMENT MAY CHANGE, but the physiological action of drugs remains the same. Every book-buying and book-loving doctor should invest in the one series of volumes which never goes out of date-HERING'S GUIDING SYMP. TOMS.

THE REPERTORY TO HERING'S GUIDING SYMPTOMS constitutes a complete index to that work, but is used with great satisfaction by many physicians in connection with other Materia Medicas.

The Pennoyer Sanitarium has for 45 years given satisfactory care to many nervous invalids. All cases of general invalidism will be cared for in the same careful and painstaking manner as in the past. Hereafter a select class of mild mental cases, alcoholic and drug habitues will be received. With the main building and the four outlying cottages, a proper separation can always be maintained between the strictly nervous, the mental invalid and the drug habitue. Dr. George F. Adams, recently resigned first assistant physician at Gowanda State (New York) Hospital, has become joint manager of the Sanitarium.

Both Dr. Pennoyer and Dr. Adams will reside in the Hospital, thus insuring personal attention to patients and constant supervision over all departments.

Any physician interested in a homelike environment for a mental invalid is invited to visit THE PENNOVER.

A non-toxic antiseptic of known and definite power, prepared in a form convenient for immediate use, of ready dilution, sightly, pleasant, and sufficiently powerful for all purposes of asepsis. These are advantages which Listerine embodies.

The success of Listerene is based upon merit, and the best advertisement of Listerine is-Listerine.

LISTERINE DERMATIC SOAP

(For use in the antiseptic treatment of Diseases of the Skin.)

Listerine "Dermatic" Soap contains the essential antiseptic constituents of thyme, eucalyptus, mentha and gaultheria, which enter into the composition of Listerine. The quality of excellence of the soap-stock which serves as the vehicle for this medication, will be readily apparent when used upon the most delicate skin, and upon the scalp.

Listerine "Dermatic" Soap contains no animal fats, and none but the very best vegetable oils enter into its composition; in its preparation unusual care is exercised, and as the antiseptic constituents of Listerine are incorporated with the Soap after it has received its surplus of unsaponified emollient oil, they retain their peculiar antiseptic virtues and fragrance.

A sample of Listerine Dermatic Soap may be had upon
