CHORUS-HANDEL.

(From the Jubilate composed for the peace of Utrecht 1713)

GLORY BE TO THE FATHER, AND TO THE SON, AND TO THE HOLY GHOST;

AS IT WAS IN THE BEGINNING, IS NOW, AND EVER SHALL BE, WORLD WITHOUT END.-Amen.

DUET-DR. BOYCE.

MR. VAUGHAN and MR. PHILLIPS.

Here shall soft charity repair,
And break the bonds of grief;
Down the harrow'd couch of care;
Man to man must bring relief.

CHORUS-Deborah-HANDel.

See the proud chief advances now,
With sullen march and gloomy brow;

Jacob, arise, assert thy God,

And scorn oppression's iron rod.

AIR-MOZART.-(FROM A SERVICE.)

MISS TRAVIS.

Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis !
Agnus Dei, qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis !

SCENE FROM THE ORATORIO OF JOSHUA.

HANDEL.

RECITATIVE-Joshua.

MR. SAPIO.

Brethren, and friends, what joy this day imparts,
To meet such brave, such firm united hearts!
What though the tyrants, an unnumber'd host,
Their strength in horse, and iron chariots, boast?
Now shines the sun, that fixeth Canaan's doom;
Trust in the Lord, and you
shall overcome.

AIR.

Oh! thou bright orb, great ruler of the day!
Stop thy swift course, and over Gibeon stay:
And oh! thou milder lamp of light, the Moon,
Stand still, prolong thy beams in Ajalon.

CHORUS.

Behold! the list'ning sun the voice obeys,
And in mid heaven his rapid motion stays.
Before our arms the scattered nations fly,
Breathless they pant, they yield, they fall, they die.

MOTET-MOZART.

Lord have mercy upon us.

Glory to God in the highest! peace on earth and good will to men. Sing to the Lord, and magnify his power. Make your boast in Him. Tell out his wond'rous works, and rejoice Glorious is His name; Great is His power. in his presence. Praise Him all ye people. O God most mighty, O Lord most holy,Thine be the glory for evermore.

TENOR SOLO.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise. Be thankful unto Him, and bless his name! The Lord is gracious, His mercy is everlasting, and his truth endureth to all generations.

CHORUS.

Praise ye the Lord, give thanks unto the Lord. The Lord is good, his mercy is everlasting. Praise Him, all ye saints! praise him, all ye nations! Amen, and Amen.

The Lord be praised! In heaven and earth his name for ever blessed till time shall end. Hallelujah!

SONG-Joshua-HANDEL.

MISS FARRAR.

Oh! had I Jubal's lyre,

Or Miriam's tuneful voice!
To sounds like his I would aspire,
In songs like her's rejoice!

My humble strains but faintly show,
How much to heaven and thee I owe.

ANTHEM-PURCELL.-Psalm cvi. 1, 2, 4, 48.

MISS TRAVIS, MISS GOODALL, MR. VAUGHAN, MR. KNYVETT, MR. SAPIO, MR. TERRAIL, MR. PHILLIPS, and MR. BELLAMY.

CHORUS.

O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is gracious, and his mercy endureth for ever.
