O

The Collect. Merciful God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the resurrection and the life; in whom whosoever believeth shall live, though he die; and whosoever liveth, and believeth in him, shall not die eternally; who also hath taught us, by his holy Apostle Saint Paul, not to be sorry, as men without hope, for them that sleep in him; We meekly beseech thee, O Father, to raise us from the death of sin unto

Am well pleased that the
Lord hath heard the voice
of my prayer;

That he hath inclined his ear unto me: therefore will I call upon him as long as I live. The snares of death compassed me round about and the pains of hell gat hold up

on me.

I found trouble and heaviness, and I called upon the Name of the Lord : O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous yea, our God is merciful.

The Lord preserveth the simple: I was in misery, and he helped me.

Turn again then unto thy rest, O my soul for the Lord hath rewarded thee.

And why? thou hast delivered my soul from death: mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

I will walk before the Lord: in the land of the living.
