Mr. Justice TORRENS having died suddenly, immediately after the conclusion of the Spring Circuit in 1856, the Right Hon. WILLIAM KEOGH was promoted to the vacancy caused by his death, in the Court of Common Pleas, and was thereupon succeeded in the office of AttorneyGeneral by the Solicitor-General, J. D. FITZGERALD, Esq.; and JONATHAN CHRISTIAN, Esq., Q. C., was appointed Solicitor-General in his place. On the 29th of January 1857, JOHN EDWARD WALSHE and JAMES ANTHONY LAWSON, Esqrs., were called within the Bar.
