Floricultural → Year Book.

T is distinct from all other Year Books as a record of horticultural progress, and a key to success in every department of practical gardening. As an Almanack it contains all needful information on scientific and business matters, prepared with a view to fulness and Accuracy. The Tables of Days are accompanied with blank pages for diary, notes, and reminders of engagements.

THE CALENDAR OF GARDEN WORK is adapted for gardens of various characters and dimensions, and the LIST OF NEW PLANTS comprises all the subjects that have been figured and described in the botanical works to which reference is usually made for authentic information. THE DESCRIPTIONS OF NEW FLOWERS give a fair representation of the work of the year in the production of novelties, the varieties being set forth according to their relative merits, without consideration of any special trade interest. In addition to these matters, the "ORACLE" contains a Series of Selections of the BEST VEGETABLES, FRUITS, ROOTS, PLANTS, and FLOWERS, intended to assist cultivators in forming and improving collections, more especially of such subjects as roses, pelargoniums, hardy fruits, &c., &c., to all of which particular attention has been given. An important feature of the present issue of the "ORACLE " is a list of all known Varieties of Potatoes, as now: recognized for distinctness, and as entitled to a place in a permanent catalogue. This List is brought down to the present time, so as to include the latest acquisitions. It is accompanied by a List of Synonyms, and a paper on the Classification of Potatoes, which it is hoped will simplify and give definiteness to a matter of business that much needed critical attention.

A Business Almanack and Diary Pages, with all the usual Astronomical, Postal, and Statistical Information, render the GARDEN ORACLE invaluable for handy use and reference throughout the year.
