first letter we have had a visit down South and we enjoyed ourselves fine. While we were down there my oldest sister got married. I had the pleasure of meeting some of the journal readers in Rocky Mount, Va., when we were going South, and I appreciated it very much. What has become of Mr. Herman Bollman? He has kept silent long enough. Wake up, boys and girls, and get to work. I have had good success in collecting post cards. With regards to all, JUANITA YORK.

Carberry, Man.

EVA ATAY.

Bennington, N. H.

I have received a few post cards from the brothers and sisters, and wish to thank all of them for their kindness. What is the matter with all the boys and girls out this way that none of them write for the ADVOCATE? Wake up, boys and girls, these days are too fine to be spent in sleeping. Well, our summer vacation is over and back we go to our studies. We have got some very nice teachers in our school this fall.

My father gets the journal every month, and I take great pleasure in reading all the letters it contains. Winter is almost here, and although we have had many very hot days during the past summer, we will soon find ourselves wishing for the return of the good old

summer-time. Hoping the editor will correct all the mistakes, your loving friend, ANNIE M. FRENCH.

Ducks, B. C.

I have never written a letter to the ADVOCATE, so I will try my luck now. My father is a section foreman. Ducks is not a very big place, but the scenery around here is very beautiful. I am 14 years old. Three of our family go to school. We have Sunday school and church here every other Sunday and I attend both. My brother is just learning to shoot, as it is the hunting season. hope the dear editor will correct my mistakes and put this in print. Wishing the Brotherhood success, yours truly, VIOLET ULVILA.

I

As my first letter landed in the waste basket I will try again. My father is a Brotherhood man and likes the Order fine. His lodge is No. 305. He attends very regularly, as his lodge is only two miles from us. I am 15 years old and am in the eighth grade at school. I go to the Barton Academy in Mobile. I am collecting post cards and will gladly send one in return for every one received and answer all letters. Well, I will quit, as I can see the kind editor frowning at this uninteresting letter. Hoping to see this in the next journal and wishing the Brotherhood every success, yours faithfully, PEARL PARMER.
