and colon. To be of any value, however, such a model must represent the exact anatomical conditions found in a given subject, and no attempt should be made to improve on nature. That is what has been done here with great care, with the exception of the supra-renal capsules, and I rather doubt the wisdom of what was done in that case. It is only by this careful representation that any correct idea can be obtained of the variations in the shape and relations of organs, and from a study of models prepared in this manner it may be found that there are wider variations within normal limits than one would suppose. Even if the conditions found here are not perfect from an anatomical point of view, they are certainly interesting for clinical study.
