Brother Eidemiller made a visit home February eighteenth.

Brother Fisher attended the alumni banquet at Hamilton last month, and responded to the toast, "The Undergraduate's Obligation to Miami." Brother Joyce, '03, was toastmaster at the banquet.

Brother Joyce visited us February eighteenth.

Ralston visited in Sidney and Bellefontaine the latter part of last month.
Schweickart visited with home folks for a few days during the latter part of

February:

In the play given at Oxford College, February twenty-second, Brother Eidemiller played the leading part.

Brother Radcliffe won the silver loving-cup given as a trophy to the winner of the largest number of individual points in the indoor meet on March first.

DELTA KAPPA EPSILON

Bierce, Markley, Kaye and Morris spent the day in Cincinnati, February

Brother H. S. James, '04, came up from Cincinnati to attend the indoor Athletic Meet.

Brother Markley entertained his brother Clint a few days recently. Brother S. J. Brandenburg, '04, spent Sunday, February twelfth, with us. Brother Bierce went to Hamilton February twenty-seventh to see The Prince of Pilsen.

Miss Mary McSurely treated the Chapter to a spread on Valentine Day that was "the best ever."

Kappa entertained a party of girls from Oxford College, Friday, February twenty-fourth, from 3:30 to 5:30 P. M. Those present were the Misses Thompson, West, Sanford, Williams, Lowe, Bronaugh, Wright and Breeding chaperoned by Dean Hamilton and Mrs. West.

Brothers Coulter, Kaye, Nunnamaker, Pye, Lawrence, Hill, F. R. Williams

and Bing attended the thir dannual banquet of the Indiana Association of D. K. E., held at Claypool Hotel, Indianapolis, March second. About fifty enthusiastic Dekes were present and made the corridors of the hotel ring with college and fraternity yells and songs. Letters of greetings were read from President Roosevelt, a Harvard Deke, class of '80; Senator Beveridge, Psi Phi '85, and Whitelaw Reid, Miami, '56.

Hon. Jefferson H. Claypool, Miami, '76, President of the Association was Toastmaster.

The following speakers responded in order named: Frederick Irving Barrows, DePauw '97; P. Carleton Bing, Miami '06, representing Kappa Chapter; Prof. Severance Burrage, Boston "Tech" '92; Hon. Joseph G. Ibach, DePauw '83; Hon. George L. Reinhard, Miami ex-'71; Hon. Jas. F. Elliott, DePauw '68; Rev. Worth M. Tippy, DePauw '91; Alvah J. Rucker, DePauw 'oo; Judge E. H. Bundy, Miami '69; Albert A. Somerville, DePauw '05, representing Psi Phi Chapter; Virgil H. Lockwood, DePauw '81.

After the speaking came the walk around and then with hands clasped in the Mystic Circle which extended clear around the Banqueting Hall we sang the Io Triumphe and the most successful banquet ever given by the Indiana Association was over.

BETA THETA PI

On the twentieth, the Betas entertained at a winter picnic at the house on Walnut street.

The chapter gave the annual Beta Dance on the evening of the twenty-first which a number of out-of-town Betas attended.

Mr. Ross DeArmond, from Hamilton, has become a Beta pledge.

John Nelson has temporarily left school on account of sickness. He has gone to his home in Bellaire, Ohio.

Mr. Harry McLaughlin visited us recently.

Brothers Semoigne, of Michigan, Showalter, of DePauw and Jamison of Delaware visited the chapter during the month.

INDOOR BASE-BALL

PHI DELTS VS. DEKES.

On Saturday, March fourth, the Phi Delts won from the Dekes in a game of indoor base ball by a score of 21 to 12.

On Thursday, February ninth, the Non-Frats won from D. K. E. in a very close and exciting game by a score of 11 to 10.

At no time was the game a sure thing for either of the teams and it was one of the most interesting of the season.

BETAS VS. PHI DELTS.

The first of a series of three games to decide the winner of this year's pennant was played on Saturday, February eleventh, by the Betas and Phi Delts. The attendance was large and the game an interesting one.

On Saturday, February eleventh, the Non-Frats won from the Sigs in a game of indoor base-ball by a score of 26 to 18.

On Wednesday evening, February fifteenth, the second game of indoor base-ball was played by the Betas and Phi Delts to decide who should be winner of this year's pennant. The game was close and both teams played well, the Beta winning by four runs.

On Saturday, February eighteenth, the tie between the Betas and Phi Delts for the pennant was played off and the Phi Delts were winners.

The annual indoor track meet was held on Wednesday evening, March first. There were ten events: the 25-yard dash, the pole vault, the 880-yard run, the running high jump, the elephant race, the shot put, rope climbing, the relay race, the potato race and the obstacle race.

The 25-yard dash was won by Hildebolt, time 3 seconds; Radcliffe, second; Reed, third.
