Established November 4, 1848. Objects-The discussion of subjects connected with the theory or practice of life insurance, for the purpose of giving the members an opportunity of ascertaining the views and opinions of each other after due consideration of the subject under discussion. Meetings, first Monday of each month, at the offices of the members of the club, in rotation. The chairman at each meeting is the actuary of the company in whose office the meeting is held. The club is limited to twenty members, exclusive of those re-elected on their retirement from the active duties of their profession. THE LIFE OFFICERS' ASSOCIATION. Established March 18, 1889. Object-The advancement of the business and the protection of the interests of life insurance, so far as can be secured by consultation and combined action upon questions appertaining to the interests common to life insurance companies. The association is open to companies having their head offices in Great Britain or Ireland, or in any Colony or Dependency of the Empire, and making returns under the life insurance companies' acts.
