to your unsolicited kindness, and the good providence of God, I am placed under you ; and that it is as much my delight as it is my duty, to look up to you as my Diocesan for direction and for example. It is not because your station is exalted, or your acquirements in many ways so extensive, that I revere you; but because the distinguishing character of your faith and of your principles, is your firm attachment to the word of God in its entireness and in its simplicity.
